Our History

From a family garage in Tafeta to a full-service home improvement retail super-store in American Samoa.

American Industries was founded in 1984 by Neil and Sala Scratch. It originally started as an electrical materials supplier in their family garage in the village of Tafeta. Their children worked alongside them to build the family business.

In 1999 American Industries moved to its new 25,000 sq ft home center in Malaeimi. Now offering a full range of products including furniture, appliances and much more.

In 2014 the company celebrated its 30th anniversary by holding a grand re-opening and changing their name to Neil's Ace Home Center.

Today, Neil's Ace Home Center employs more than 100 team members and is a home improvement retail super-store with a full-service lumberyard.
